Seryon LEE is a Professor of Law at Chonbuk National University (CBNU) in the Republic of Korea. She does most of her research in the field of international public law, including international human rights/humanitarian law, international dispute settlement and international institutional law. Her major articles include Assessment of Korea's Refugee Resettlement Program (2018), Korea’s Refugee Act: Towards Fuller Implementation of the Refugee Convention (2015), Legal Feminism and the UN's Gender Mainstreaming Policy: still searching for the blind spot ?(2013), The Feasibility of Reforming the UN Security Council: Too much talk, too little action (2011), The UN's Smart Sanction and Its Human Right's Implication (2011), Efficiency of Law Enforcement Measures against the Act of Piracy under International Law: Focusing on Piracy in Waters off the Coast of Somalia (2012),etc.

She has been serving as a member of the National Refugee Committee at the Ministry of Justice of Korea and actively engaged with the ILA Korean Branch as the director of Editorial Affairs and the Korean Society of International law as the director of International Affairs

Professor Lee earned her B.A degree in Political Science from the University of Chicago and received an LL.M in International Legal Studies at New York University School of Law. She holds a Ph.D. in Law from Yonsei University, Korea.
